Example usage:
set foo = `primgrouplist("$SOP")`

echo $foo>test

Things to note:

The default directory it will write to is the current unix path.
You can view the path of this directory using the upwd command.
You can change this directory using the ucd command.

The ">" symbol is what does the trick:
Using ">" will overwrite/write a new file with data.
Using ">>" will append to the current file with data.
